Once Upon a Dream, Smart Sleep Installation
Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin
Once Upon a Dream is a space for sleep recovery. An hybrid object between a four-poster bed and a bedroom, between a fairy-tale and science-fiction, this project is based on physiological studies of sleeping disorders, and in particular insomnia. A reference to the History of the House, as Veuve Cliquot was herself a notorious insomniac. The principal rests upon the artificial and programmable management of natural day-night cycles. This bedroom-capsule indeed integrates light, sound and temperature variation programmes from amongst the powerful stimuli taking our organisms from activity to rest; from objective reality to the deepest dreams.
